1 the ostrich skin
Ostriches are native to Africa, also known as African ostriches. They are the largest herbivorous giant birds in the modern bird kingdom in the world. They cannot fly, but they are good at running. Adult ostriches weigh 120~150kg and are 1.75~2.75m in height. Ostriches can weigh more than 100kg at the age of one year. Ostriches start to breed at the age of two years, until they reach the age of 40 or so. The average life span of ostriches is 70 years. Ostrich leather is durable and has follicle protrusion and special grain pattern on the grain surface, which makes the leather surface appear unique and beautiful. It is a high-quality material for making high-grade upper vamp, bag, garment, belt, ticket clip and so on. It is one of the leather types with the highest value. As early as the 19th century in South Africa began artificial breeding, after the European and American developed countries have introduced trial breeding.
China began to introduce ostriches in 1992. At present, there are more than 400 farms in more than 20 provinces and cities, with more than 100,000 ostriches in stock. Ostrich skin tissue is as follows :1.1 thinner dermis. It is 0.3~1.0mm commonly, contain fat quantity is big, and subcutaneous adipose tissue is very thick.

2 ostrich leather mainly has the following technologies:

30 ℃, water flooding: 500% to 0.5%

Skim: 35 ℃ water 200%, 4% ~ 6% MetolatD1:3/30 degrees, 60 min.
Wash: 35 ℃ water washing 15 min.
If the original skin fat is too large, repeat degreasing.
Liming: 30 ℃ 200% water, 0.7% sodium hydrosulphide, 30 min; 2.5% sodium sulfide,10min; 3 percent hydrated lime powder 120min; 100% at 30 ℃ water, 20 min; Stop/turn (60min/ 3-5min), overnight.
